    Roundtable: The Famine and Irish Australia

    MC:       Professor Ronan McDonald, the Gerry Higgins Professor Irish Studies at the University of Melbourne

    Panel:   Professor Elizabeth Malcolm, Associate Professor Dianne Hall, Dr Fidelma Breen and Dr Val Noone

    Professor McDonald will engage the panel in conversation with Q&A to follow:  What impact did the Famine have on Irish Australia?  How did you personally get involved n Irish-Australia history?  What new insights have come to light in the 30 years since Patrick O'Farrell wrote his book "The Irish in Australia"?  What future research into Irish Australia needs to be done?
