The Club is seeking to appoint members for this sub-committee and would like to encourage new applicants via the Expression of Interest form below on this page. The range of selection criteria is outlined below. Please highlight your skills and talents in line with the suggested selection criteria when applying.

Selection Criteria for Finance, Audit, and Risk Management Sub-Committee:

Professional Qualifications – Possession of relevant professional qualifications such as a degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CPA, CA, or equivalent.

Experience in Financial Management – Demonstrated experience in financial management, preferably within a club or similar organization.Experience in budgeting, financial analysis, and reporting.

Audit and Risk Management Skills –Strong understanding of audit processes and risk management principles. Previous experience serving on audit committees or managing risk within an organization.

Financial Reporting Knowledge – Familiarity with financial reporting standards and regulations. Ability to interpret and analyse financial statements.

Strategic Financial Planning – Experience in contributing to strategic financial planning and decision-making. Ability to align financial strategies with organizational goals.

Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills – Strong analytical skills to identify financial trends, issues, and opportunities. Proven ability to solve complex financial problems.

Communication and Collaboration – Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to collaborate effectively with committee members, management, and external stakeholders.

Integrity and Ethical Conduct – High ethical standards and commitment to financial integrity. Understanding of the importance of confidentiality in financial matters.

Regulatory Compliance – Knowledge of relevant financial regulations and compliance requirements. Experience ensuring the organisation’s financial practices adhere to legal standards.

Adaptability and Commitment – Willingness to adapt to changing financial landscapes and evolving industry best practices.Commitment to fulfilling the responsibilities of the role, including attending meetings and contributing actively.

Interest in Celtic Club – Demonstrated interest in and understanding of the mission, values, and activities of the Celtic Club of Victoria.

Previous Committee Experience – Previous experience serving on committees, especially in finance, audit, or risk management capacities.
