An Evening of Irish Literature

Event Date: 15/07/21 at 7pm

We are delighted to bring you a new series of events celebrating Irish literature in all its many forms, in a relaxed, inclusive setting.

Join us for the first “Evening of Irish Literature” at Buck Mulligan’s Speciality Irish Whiskey Bar and Bookshop in Northcote, where owner Eamonn Hennessy will talk about the inspiration and passion behind starting the business and the books that have had the greatest impression on him through the years.

This occasion will also offer an opportunity to discuss future Celtic Club literary events, including, if there are enough interested parties, the establishment of a regular reading group, or groups. Prof. Ronan McDonald, the Gerry Higgins Chair of Irish Studies at the University of Melbourne will be on hand to advise.

Places are offered to Members at no charge, however, they must be pre-booked for capacity planning reasons.

To confirm your place, simply email Catherine via membership@celticclub.com.au or call her on 03 8535 4500.

We look forward to seeing you there!
