About St Brigid's Day
St. Brigid's Day, celebrated on February 1st,is a feast day dedicated to St. Brigid of Kildare, one of Ireland's patron saints. It marks the beginning of Spring in the Irish tradition and is one of the four great Celtic festivals (along with Samhain, Imbolc, and Lughnasadh). St. Brigid's Day also corresponds to Imbolc, a Gaelic festival that celebrates the return of the light after winter.
